With the slowdown of much hyped environmental sustainability issue at international level, here the little ignited spirit among individuals regarding the conservation of environment has came to a halt.
It is definitely a tight blow on the face of nature that our love to ram it increases every moment not even thinking of what if our ancestors had burnt it and we would have got nothing as bailout. And then we would have been just cursing them & using the remains like "using stored water when water supply is halted thus thinking twice before you go piss."
1. Think when your child will ask you about Venus and its visibility in morning and evening, the closure of mars and Saturn with earth, Venus transit and other universal amazement and you will be silent bcoz u weren't able to see any due to high level of air pollution in your city.
2. Whom do you complain when u Stupendously feel the smell of rubbish on GTK Bypass?
3. Don't we ever feel ashamed when we compare the level of tidiness of INDIA wit other countries ?
Environmental stability is totally concerned with the people who live in it and live with it and thereby every individual becomes solely responsible for its upliftment or degradation.Right from the starting of our day, the procedure of deterioration starts and let us see how and what activities of ours contaminate everything.
FIRSTLY, Throwing a wrapper anywhere after having a toffee without being anylizing that if 10 people are eating 20 toffees, then a bunch of garbage starts forming which acts as a newly made bin for others to throw dump of theirs and in just 2-3 hours at a picnic spot a big pile of garbage is there.
It may sound unusual, but true and the elders are always there to advise that 'dear throw it there because it is already dirty.'
Eating groundnuts in car, or oranges in bus, or having a full fledged meal on thermosetting plates when on some trip, the covers are given to earth as a gift to cherish the wild vegetation grown there as an excuse. And then complaining that animals like swine are making the place dirty.
SECONDLY, Cutting down a tree and not planting another with an excuse that it may wither due to tough conditions is not the care we show for plants but carelessness. The assets of about 32 lakhs are destroyed by doing this..See how...
A tree that lives for 50 years generates Rs.5.3 lakhs worth of oxygen.
Re-cycles Rs. 6.4 lakhs worth fertility & soil erosion control,
Creates Rs. 1.05 lakhs worth of air pollution control &
Rs. 5.3 lakhs worth of Shelter for birds and animals.
So whenever a tree falls or it is felled, the city losses something worth more that Rs. 32 lakhs.
Trees are nature’s air conditioners. In one year the average tree inhales 26 pounds of carbon dioxide, the amount emitted by a car on an 11,000 mile trip. This same tree will in turn exhale enough oxygen to keep a family of 4 breathing for a year.
THIRDLY, ILL traffic mannerism is the biggest cause of air pollution. The hurried attitude of Indians on road leads to nothing but chaos which takes enough time to resolve that if the other one was made to go first then the time spent would have been much lesser.
Heavy vehicles move everywhere where they get place and not taking care of the lane in which they are supposed to move. Coming far ahead of zebra crossing and inheriting about half the place of another road is trend.
Moving more speedily to cross signals at yellow light and starting to move even before seconds before signal to go green is fashion here.
FOURTHLY, One festival which is observed every year for the same initiative is the VAN MAHOTSAVA but i had felt that such things are not or scarcely taken into account at college or university levels or at governmental levels too which is the chief reason that people are not completely aware about the drastic circumstances which may arise in future as a consequence of environmental degradation and this attitude of authorities prevents a room for mentality to think beyond material and self- sustained benefits.
FIFTHLY, improper sanitation is also a very hard hitting factor in demolishing the balanced environmental structure and that also can be solved if we are self aware and make people aware of it.
It is taken more seriously that getting free of the pressure is more important even at the cost of making mockery of thyself while standing up and facing the wall. See either parks, railway tracks, bus sands, road corner, a heap of sand or other such associations.
Water Pollution at a glance:
Delhi has spent Rs 1,188 crore-Rs 1,491 crore on cleaning the Yamuna till 2006. Or, Rs 71 crore-Rs 85 crore per km in the 22-km stretch of the river as it passes through the city.
But in spite of this massive investment, the river Yamuna runs dirtier. “There is obviously something fundamentally wrong in the way we are managing our river cleaning programmes. Our planners believe in spending money without understanding the connection between sewage and its disposal and river pollution.", said Sunita Narain, director, Centre for Science and Environment (CSE).
The situation is now that it looks black, smells bad, germinated and known as drainage.
All above has resulted int preparation of arrow which is ready to be shot to destroy us and that arrow is GLOBAL WARMING.
The average facade temperature of the globe has augmented more than 1 degree Fahrenheit since 1900 and the speed of warming has been almost three folds the century long average since 1970. This increase in earth’s average temperature is called Global warming.
The major cause of global warming is the emission of green house gases like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide etc into the atmosphere.
1. A rise in earth’s temperatures can in turn root to other alterations in the ecology, including an increasing sea level and modifying the quantity and pattern of rainfall.
Annual Greenhouse Gas Emissions
2. There is shift in season cycle, as the summers are getting longer than the winters.
3.This has affected the animals and made them to change their lifestyle accordingly, and those who failed to do so have perished or on the verge of extinction.
THUS the only way to survive is to make our environment survie. When there will be no shelter, no food, there will be no life.
PLANT THE TRESS.
IMPROVE YOUR ILL HABITS.
AND SAVE THE WORLD FOR YOUR SAKE AND FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN WHO ARE YET TO ENJOY THIS.
because
SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT LEADS TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
All the best.
