Endless encounters with variety of phases of livelihood in the span of four years have made each person a professional yet personal in a context or the other.
The right word to describe graduation will be tuition of life and especially the engineering which is known as a course of professionalism but actually is the training of self-sustained instincts and behaviors which were hidden till high school.
So now here is a small share of happiness that i wish to flow to all… My friends and those who are a little more or less than that... but no matter... We are mates.
5th September when we entered the HMR ITM again after the second counseling it was absolutely the worse time for us all to leave the magnificent school life and step into a big mount of concrete amongst the lush green fields not knowing what to appropriate; the knowledge of vegetation or the machines. Neither was easy to plan the commutation of next day to college as personal vehicles were scarce and buses didn’t have ample leg space.
Carrying just a hunch of audacity, the pavement of the road started which had ‘studies’ in semester 1, ‘bunks’ in semester 2, searching of a few perfect opposite mates from the 3rd, styling and settlement in fourth, and in the subsequent semesters there were encounters with management, clashes with the mates, jilt and rebuild with the same or the another, the projects, the fest, the presentations, the cry of being 2nd and mostly the joy of backlogs. The eighth semester was the blend of all and there was left nothing to spare.
In this long time many transformations took place. Some of which are:
1. 1. The change of names of a few friends viz. Makdee, Mard, Chak, RK, Raka, Peetambar, Bhagnani, Keerat, Pratiamma, Slain, DD, Champ, Goti, Mady, Dhoom, Chipkali, Gogu, Gupta ji, Guptain…. Huh… Endless…
2. 2. The Facebook drastically took over the Orkut which in earlier years overshadowed Hi5. Flicker and twitter are still finding their way among general masses.
3. 3. A few boys became eye candy of girls. (Needless to say, boys have every 2nd girl as eye candy.)
4. 4. The shuffling of sections (ECE) under the name of all clears and backlog holders.
5. 5. The most important transformation was EMBLAZON, the fest. A ship made by Er. Samir Ohri and team, propelled by Er. Ashish Chugh and team and finally destroyed by St. Anil Gupta and team. (St here stands for Stupid)
Like moonshiners are the HMR Engineers, not because they produce destructible substances like alcohol but they generate a sweet trance in the lives of each other. Contradictions exist.
With the time passed, we learnt a lot. Take a look:-
1.
1. 1. Taking all the classes actually hampers the progress. And there are lot many things to learn.
2.
2. Waiting for a particular time to initiate a talk with someone actually takes away all the golden period and lets you notice only at the end. Those who realized are happy and those who didn’t, I can’t help it… :D :p
3.
3. Learning of management of administration, class, friends, staff and teachers. The rapid changes in everything made us inert yet sensible towards the only fact that practicality is very important.
4.
4. A learning of chilling out, cracking jokes, lending or giving up the ill habits, gender bias eradication, future plans etc etc… Some of our dear friends are so committed to their relationships that they even have thought the names of their babies and name plate outside the home. I wish God bless them.
5.
5. And we learnt that marks only mattered till the high school. What matters now is application academics, not the conventional animal race.
This is all the small journey of ours of Bachelor of Technology.
To all my friends, teachers, main and supporting staff, I have a few lines for you.
I thank you teachers for teaching me the engineering. I really enjoyed the teachings of many of yours. I thank my college management for giving me a chance to study the actual insights. This has made me to stop blaming a particular person for the bad and appreciate the team work for a good.
I thank all the nice non officers like the peons or people alike for helping me out in reaching to a place where for general masses it’s impossible to even look.
And I thank my friends from ECE, CSE, IT, EEE, MAE, MCA and MBA who stayed with me always. Who never ever said no to any work of mine. Who have a great faith in me and my doings. Whose words have been eulogistic always and if not there was a constructive criticism only. Who from the very first day have been increasing in number and never dumped me at any stage in this span. I cherish every bit of time and space I shared with you. And for you I have a feeling that like everyone, you all will get busy after sometime… so busy in the race of life with less time to even live for yourself… but unlike others, you will never forget me and in this rapid technological environment of mobiles and social networking, we will all find at least one moment to just think of each other.
I wish you all a very happy life ahead.
The scribble day on 25th Apr 2011 brought to us the flashback which at the end of the day was a complete profit against the input of 4 years. And when there are just 30 days to go for the end of this beautiful journey… Why not play this time like the last overs of cricket innings…. Enjoyable, harsh and productive.
God Bless…
Be peaceful, Be clean, Be healthy and care for the environment.
