First thing please keep in mind .............. MOST IMPORTANT.........
we all b.tech students are on same page .whatever subjects and topics i have mentioned in my experience are very important in a sense that they are asked only. so first of all prepare all these topic .

1 data structure (especially linklist and sortings)

2 operating systems overview and scheduling 

3 ada algo complexities and sortings(most imp_

4 networking(osi & tcp protocol suite very imp) and all definitions 

5 c c++ & java (any one deeply). if company require more then 1 then go for c deeply ( and learn concepts of java and c++)

6 programs basic

7 for G.d (i will suggest you to speak & speak irrespective of mistakes ..... and strong your G.k because once you utter stats then no one can force you to say good buy(for ex i used in india 12.5 crores cable tv and 1.5 crores dish ). like that ...

now what I am going to tell you will take you to success but you must give 4-12 hours at least with closed doors ( dedication need to get success...

hey we all know how to solve problem but in sec its not easy ...
go through these topics mandatory with trics which you will find in cat test material and RS AGGARWAL.

1 learn tables upto 30
2 learn reciprocals of no upto 30 ((very very imp))
3 learn squares upto 30 and cubes upto 15 ((very very imp))
these all three things are like bachooo bachooo vala na but
nahi aati hongi ... do this after this you can solve problems easily

Give each day to PERCENTAGE,RATIO PROPORTION,DIRECT &INDIRECT, COMPOUND INTREST,SYLLOGISMS,BASIC ENGLISH(RENN&MARTIN)*******VERY IMP(ACCENTURE ,INFOSYS,TCS has at least 20 Q)

everyday you pass read news paper (and ESPECIALLY READ pratiyogita darpan jitni tum par sako it will help you a lot for your gd .. as much you use stats as much your probability . inc to crack .. .....

go through Q i have mentioned for reasoning from Rs aggarwal.
